What happened to all those meanings once embedded in textiles in certain cultures, how did they loose their value over time as their symbols are flattened, limited, unseen, unquestioned. Textiles are exploited for their functional use. In order to bring meaning, embed meaning that makes sense to me as a weaver, I deconstructed a loom and adjusted it to my own body that made sense to me. The action is to manifest about not being able to use one thing for two purposes or in different ways then their original design. While researching into weaving and cooking at different kitchens throughout Amsterdam, I tried to find a way to translate kitchen waste of data into a readable textile map. I found that cartesian coordinate systems is similar to the way warp and weft are positioned on the loom. I used these axis to translate my involvement in the kitchen to a readable timeline in textile.
